The Former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori has been released

Former governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori has been released from prison.
He was released a few minutes past noon upon a court order. His media aide, Mr. Tony Elumenor confirmed the release to the Press.
Ibori was sentenced by a United Kingdom court to prison for 13 years and served out his term midnight yesterday.
Expectation of his return home to Nigeria, however, remains murky as friends and associates many of who are gathered in London deliberate on the future of the former governor

A 33-year-old man, Segun Ogunlusi has explained why he stabbed his 60-year-old mother, Abimbola Ogunlusi to death, claiming his mother was pestering him to have sex with her.
Ogunlusi who was paraded at the Ogun State police command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, on Tuesday by the state police commissioner, Ahmed Iliyasu, alongside 23 other suspects who were held for alleged armed robbery, cultism, and kidnapping, confessed that he killed her because she was persistently asking him for sex.
The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday 13th December, 2016 at Number 16, Oketunde Street, Molatori, Ogijo, Sagamu Local Government Area of the state.
While fielding questions from newsmen during the parade,the suspect said she was provoked by her mother’s alleged incesssant demand for sex.
He said, “I killed my mother because she has been demanding sex persistently from me .She said if I had sex with her I would bé free. On a particular Tuesday morning, when two of us were at home, she was in the kitchen, I walked up to her and stabbed her in the stomach and she died.

The answer is simple he paid it into your beloved Guiders (Site Admin) account, now along the line what makes you feel that they (The people who run the site Aka Site Admin Aka Guider) do not regularly chip in their own personal bank account details or that of their sexy Girlfriends or family and friends for new participants to pay money into????

Take for example i was an Admin on MMM dont you know that all i would have to do is go collect all the account numbers of my friends and family members and pair them with new participants for you guys to go and pay money inside and at the end of the day they (My Family Members) will send me back the money once they receive it???

Do you know that once things go through this process you will never be able to get them arrested because they too will claim to also be participants, and infact they will be the first to call you and claim they have been scammed a larger amount of money and are looking for you to arrest because you paid in money into their account and must be part of the people behind the scheme.

Could it be just a coincedent that this same month MMM Promised their Participants additional Christmas 20% Bonus + The Normal 30% Profit  is the same month they now decide to freeze accounts? this same freezing of accounts happened in South Africa and till this very day non of them have received his or her money.

Gin sales pass £1 billion in a year for the first time

In the 18th century, its reputation was set by bleak scenes from Hogarth before being sealed with the nickname mother’s ruin as the years rolled on.

But the humble spirit of gin has officially enjoyed a renaissance, after figures showed sales surpassed £1 billion this year for the first time.

Bar, pubs and retailers sold the largest volume of gin on record in 2016, the Wine and Spirit Trade Association said, as it became the drink de jour.

Experts said the rise of craft distilleries had helped fuel the rise, marketing local ingredients and artisan techniques to a new generation of image-conscious drinkers.

Overseas sales had been boosted by Downton Abbey and the James Bond franchise, they added, while the popularity of Prohibition-style bars brought a younger home-grown audience to gin-based cocktails.

So far this year, British drinkers have purchased the equivalent of 1.12 billion G&Ts, according to WSTA. They have previously predicted 2016 would see the alcohol pass the £1bn mark, and have now confirmed that line had been crossed ahead of forecasts.

Sales have grown more than any other spirit sold in UK pubs, bars and restaurants and are up 19 per cent on last year to a value of £619 million, while the amount sold in shops, supermarkets and off licences is up 13 per cent to a value of £437 million.

More than £1 billion of gin has been bought this year

A total of 40 new distilleries opened in the UK between January and November, a rapid expansion from the 116 in operation in 2010, according to HMRC figures.

WSTA said 283,000 hectolitres of gin, the equivalent of 40 million bottles, have been sold in the UK over the last 12 months, the equivalent of 1.12 billion G&Ts.

British gin is now sold in 139 countries around the world, with America, Canada, Spain and Germany buying the most.

WSTA said UK gin brands had benefited from the US love for shows such as Downton Abbey and the James Bond franchise, helping to sell £159 million worth of British gin to the Americans last year.

British gin exports to the US have increased by 553 per cent  in the last decade, the report said.

Lucy Panton, from WSTA, said distilleries had attracted new customers by becoming ever-more inventive with ingredients, with people now more interested in artisan produce and known the stories behind where their drinks are made.

Mark Holdsworth, founder of Half Hitch Gin in Camden, said he had notice a boost in interest in hyperlocal businesses, with a growing trend for specialist gin-only bars.

Boyfriend stabs NDDC lover to death for refusing to make him ‘next-of-kin’ to her account

Phillips Horsefall, and two others were, yesterday, arraigned at a Port Harcourt magistrate’s court by
Department of State Services, DSS, for stabbing her to death after she had refused to make him, the boyfriend, her next-of-kin to her bank account as well as her refusal
to give him one million (N1 million) he had demanded from her.

The accused, Sotonye Martin, Innocent Oluche and Wachukwu Ugochukwu committed the murder on November 8 this year.

Counsel to the DSS, Mr C. S. Eze, told the court that the first defendant, Mr. Sotonye Martin, lured the deceased, who he had a 13-year-old daughter for, to the house of
the second defendant, Innocent Oluche, where he allegedly stabbed her to death.

He claimed the first and second defendants later buried the deceased in a shallow grave, noting that they invited the third defendant, Wachukwu Ugochukwu, a spiritualist, to perform some rituals.

According to him, the accused were brought before the
court on a three-count charge which included “stabbing to death with a jack knife and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 316 and punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code Law, Laws of Rivers
State 1999.”

The accused did not take plea.
Chief Magistrate F. Alikor referred the casefile to the state Director of Public Prosecution, saying her court did not have jurisdiction to entertain matters over murder which was the second charge. She remanded the accused in prison custody and adjourned the matter indefinitely.

Elder brother to the deceased, Mr Amatu Phillips, while speaking to newsmen, alleged that his sister was murdered by the boyfriend of 13 years, Mr. Martin because of her wealth.

He claimed she had some money in her account and confided in the boyfriend who later kept on pestering her for financial support.

According to him, after the sister had allegedly given him money several times, he came again demanding for N1million which she refused.

He alleged that the boyfriend later lured her to his friend’s house, offered her a fruit juice drink which, unknown to the sister, was drugged.

He alleged that when the boyfriend noticed that she was dizzy from effect of the drug, he stabbed her on the neck, demanding her ATM card and password.

He claimed the boyfriend had before that day persuaded
his sister to change the name of her next of kin on her bank details to his name.
