Implication of studying physiology and communication especially for a young Christian.
The knowledge you receive in school can be different from what the Word of God teaches and that's because of the nature of the material used by the lecturers and teaches and sometimes the people who is teaching the subject. Actually, scientific study shouldn't contradict the Word of God. No scientific discovery opposes the Word of God. But there are some people who take it upon themselves to oppose the Word of God. Learn everything there is to learn but understand that not everything they teach you is fact. There is nothing wrong with the course itself. Just be smart. This is not just applicable to Physiology, it is applicable to all courses in school.
What do you do when you have prayed for someone with a bad behavior who is not ready to change.
Changes doesn't just come through praying. Teaching the Word changes someone too. God's Word is God's agent of change. If you are in the situation where you can't teach the person, keep praying. You really can't change anyone by yourself. Only God and His Word can. Trust God, even if the person gets worse while praying, trust God and rejoices believing the Word of God concerning the person. Ensure you don't get worried while praying for the person, the Bible says for you to be anxious for nothing but in everything with prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known to God.
How do I rule over my spirit?
This is self control. The way to do this is to yield to the Word of God. The Word governs our thinking. The more yielded you are to the Word of God, the more your Spirit gains control over you.
THE WORD FOR THE MONTH OF MAY
This is the month of May. It's one of those rare month that we have Communion Service on the first day of the month.
Pray and thank Him. Thank Him. The Lord is gracious and kind.
THE MONTH OF MAY IS THE MONTH OF BLESSINGS.
Gen 1:20-22KJV
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
This tells us that God blesses through His Word. He blessed us with fruitfulness and multiplication. That means Spreading! God creates with plan and purpose.
Gen 1:27-30KJV
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
We fix things and fill the place with God's presence. Be blessing conscious because blessings are all around you. Look for your blessing.
Let me digress a bit. No Pastor should curse a member of His congregation or anyone for that matter. If you are a Pastor and you have cursed anyone, you need to ask for God's forgiveness. You are to bless and not to curse. Remember the story of Ballam and the children of Israel. If you curse, the curse is going to come back to you because God's people cannot be cursed. And because you have faith in those words, it will come back to you because those word must work on something.
This month, I am blessed, when I turn to the left, am blessed, to the right blessed. Everywhere blessed! You may be wondering but I thought we are already blessed, Yes. It's like Thanksgiving, everyday is a day of Thanksgiving but we have special days that we gather to have Thanksgiving. This is something that happens in God's calendar from time to time. In God's calendar, we are right in BLESSING .
Malachy 3:16-18KJV
16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not
This month I am lifted. Glory to God. Am lifted and now am in the month of blessing. Before I recognize my need, the blessing has come. Therefore I refuse to recognize lack. I don't have the consciousness of lack.
God's gonna put a distinction between those that serve him and those who don't. I am blessed. Everyday of this month declare it . Be blessing conscious. Speak blessing only. In your prayers declare it. I am blessed with protection, I am blessed with prosperity, I am blessed with divine health. I am a seed of Abraham. Worship Him and thank Him. Glorify His name.
